What to do when the driver cannot find you
Sometimes the driver arrives at a different spot, especially near hotels with several entrances or large airports. Send a message through the app, share your location and ask whether you can meet at a simple point such as the main gate or a gas station. Sometimes a driver asks to cancel or to be paid separately for a toll road. Expressway tolls are usually paid separately, so ask in advance and make sure it is clear before you set off. Drivers are not always available in the app, especially at rush hour, in the rain or in remote areas. In that case a metered taxi, a shared taxi or public transport may be faster. In Bangkok, for example, the elevated train and the metro bypass traffic and suit a large share of tourist routes.
