What Exactly to Bring to the Embassy
The original police report, passport photos (available to take quickly in many places in Bangkok), and any other identifying document you still have (driving license, ID card, even an old photo of the lost passport if you have one on your phone) — the more documentation you have, the faster the process.
What About the Return Flight
The temporary travel document the embassy issues is valid for departure from Thailand and entry to Israel only, not for onward flights to other countries. If the original flight included a layover, worth checking with the airline whether the route needs to change.

Before the flight, worth photographing the passport (the details page) and saving the image both in email and in the cloud, not just on the phone itself.
