Koh Phi Phi is known for its dramatic cliff scenery and turquoise water — one of the most photographed places in Thailand. Very popular for day trips from Phuket or Krabi, but you can also stay overnight on the island itself.

The famous bay from the film 'The Beach' — surrounded by dramatic cliffs, subject to visitor restrictions for conservation.
Phi Phi Viewpoint נקודת התצפית
A climb to a viewpoint with an iconic view of two bays on either side of the island — most beautiful at sunrise.
Monkey Beach חוף הקופים
A small beach with a free-roaming monkey population, accessible only by boat.
Bamboo Island אי הבמבוק
A small, nearby island with clear water for snorkeling, less crowded than Maya Bay.
Long Beach (Phi Phi Don) החוף הארוך
A calm beach suited for swimming, a short distance from the village center.
Practical tips
- •Maya Bay is sometimes subject to hour/visitor-count restrictions for ecological conservation — worth checking current status before your trip.
- •Day trips from Phuket/Krabi mostly arrive between 11:00-15:00 — those staying overnight can see the famous spots without the crowds at other hours.
- •There are no motor vehicles on the island itself (except boats) — everything is walkable within the main village.
